They are Oxygène FM, which transmits on 90.9 MHz, and pirate radio station Lestomak FM, which transmits on 98.7 MHz.
According to a report from Conatel’s technical team, the control tower at Cap-Haïtien International Airport is currently operating well following the closure of the two radio stations.
The closure followed a complaint from the National Civil Aviation Office (Ofnac) about radio interference on its air links with Cap-Haïtien.
To address this problem, a Conatel technical team was sent to the city of Cap-Haïtien between Friday, July 26 and Tuesday, July 30, 2024, to carry out a technical analysis, identifying two FM radio stations causing interference to the control tower of Cap-Haïtien International Airport.
