NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of the Exuma Cays to the brand’s Caribbean portfolio; brand officials have confirmed that Rosewood Cays de Exuma will be located on a 124-acre private island known as East Sampson Cay and will blend the essence of ultra-luxury with adventure travel to offer guests a private island experience.
News of the new move was announced in a press statement released Wednesday morning.
Officials said: “Rosewood Exuma will feature only 33 suites, all with stunning views of the island’s pink and white sand beaches and turquoise waters, with several suites sitting right on the beach. Guests will experience an array of amenities that will be created in accordance with Rosewood’s A Sense of PlaceÒ philosophy, with all look and feel elements inspired by the destination. Six unique food and beverage outlets will showcase local cuisine, including ingredients grown in the resort’s organic garden.”
“I am excited to be working with Yntegra to bring Rosewood’s signature luxury and authenticity to the beautiful Exumas,” said Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
“We hope that Rosewood Exuma will offer guests a next-generation luxury experience that honors the essence of this pristine archipelago and invites guests to embark on a journey of discovery and adventure.”
The resort continued in its statement: “This new project, developed in partnership with Miami-based private investment firm Yntegra Group, will advance Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ growth as a global luxury lifestyle leader and is consistent with Yntegra Group’s long-term strategic vision to unlock the unrealized investment and economic potential of the Exuma region.”
Rosewood’s signature AsayaÒ concept will immerse guests in time-honored Bahamian wellness traditions, hotel officials said.
“The 20,000-square-foot retreat will have six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, outdoor tranquility pool and fitness center. It will also feature an outdoor sports center with tennis, paddle and pickleball courts and water sports equipment.”
“A highlight that resort guests and passersby will look forward to, Rosewood Exuma will feature a full-service beach club with grill, beach and pool bars and private dining. Two marinas with berths are planned to accommodate yachts up to 150 feet in length, and those traveling around the nearby islands will be encouraged to enjoy Rosewood Exuma’s beach club and a variety of restaurants and bars. In addition to the beach club pool, the resort will offer two additional pools for overnight guests, including one designed specifically for families. Younger guests will also be invited to immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of the Exumas at Rosewood Explorers, the brand’s signature kids’ club concept with activities designed to inspire exploration, stimulate imagination and foster a sense of social responsibility.”
Rosewood officials said initiatives such as solar power will be implemented to minimize the impact on the island.
“The Exuma Islands are the ideal destination for the new Rosewood resort,” said Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism of the Bahamas.
“The launch of Rosewood Exuma in partnership with Yntegra Group represents an exciting milestone for our tourism industry. We are excited about the expansion of the Rosewood brand and the tremendous growth potential in Exuma. This development highlights the unparalleled luxury and adventure that Exuma offers while underscoring our commitment to sustainable and balanced growth.”
