The 20th Basketball Without Borders (BWB) came to a close yesterday in Johannesburg, South Africa. Four girls and two boys from Senegal participated in the basketball camp, three of whom were selected for the standard team.

Amy Diop, Fatou Kine Diop, Binta Seye, Helena Faye, Cheikh Biteye and Cheikh Bamba Thiam The Senegalese were selected during a basketball camp held at the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ) in South Africa from Saturday, August 3 to Tuesday, August 6. It brought together 60 boys and girls from 24 African countries, including five NBA academies.

The three-day training was led by Dallas Mavericks head athletic trainer Dion Calhoun (USA) and Cleveland Cavaliers head strength and conditioning coach Derek Millender, as well as other big names from the NBA and FIBA.

Campers received training in multiple areas: movement, efficiency drills, offensive and defensive skill stations, three-point shooting contests, 5-on-5 games, and life skills and leadership development classes.
