More speakers announced for Asia Radio Day and Asia Podcast Day – ABU

More speakers have been announced for Radiodays Asia and Podcast Day Asia. Radiodays Asia will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 2 to 4 September. Podcast Day Asia will take place on Tuesday 5 September as part of Radiodays Asia.

Jacqueline Bierhorst, President of WorldDAB, Netherlands

Jacqueline has been a pioneer in commercial radio throughout her career, specializing in distribution, marketing and content, and currently wears many hats. She is the owner of Jacky B Entertainment Solutions, President of WorldDAB, Chair of the WorldDAB Marketing Group, and an active ambassador for digital radio in Europe and beyond. Jacqueline is also an advisor to the Flemish Government’s Ministry of Culture, Youth and Media on the introduction of DAB+ in Flanders, initiated cooperation among Flemish stakeholders on digital radio, chaired the Flemish DAB+ and Online Roundtable, and is Radioplayer Netherlands Manager.

Alan Fontanilla, CEO and co-founder of The Pod Network Entertainment, Philippines

Alan is a brand communications expert specializing in entrepreneurship and creative initiatives. As CEO and co-founder of The Pod Network Entertainment, he has driven innovation in the Philippine podcast scene, creating new ways for brands to engage with their audiences. Alan also serves as the head of marketing at Packworks, transforming grocery stores with digital solutions. He serves on the board of directors of the Philippine Digital Marketing Association and the Philippine National Advertisers Foundation.

Lauren has worked in the media industry for twenty years, primarily in strategy roles. She is dedicated to helping brands communicate their stories and connect with their customers. Her abiding passion is combining the power of audio with insightful thinking to create content that is worth your time. Lauren has been recognised both locally and internationally for her work and contribution to the industry. In 2022 she was named B&T Media Marketing Woman of the Year and recipient of the CEO Women Maureen Creech Scholarship. Lauren is currently Chief Connection Officer at ARN, responsible for visual production, digital content, PR, marketing, promotions and business intelligence.

Harry Lock, Editorial Manager, UK Public Media Alliance
Harry leads the editorial team at the Public Media Alliance (PMA), overseeing the organisation’s content, whether it be campaigns, statements, reports or podcasts. The Public Media Alliance is a global association of public service media that promotes the values ​​of public broadcasting. Prior to this, Harry was a broadcast journalist at Radio New Zealand.
