“If there are 10,000 marriages, I will get married 10,000 times” – Portia Asare

Ghanaian actress Portia Asare has finally confirmed rumors of her divorce, three years after she got married for the second time in 2021. Earlier, social media reported in 2023 that her marriage to Raymond Kwaku Marfo had broken down amid rumors that he was a serial pervert. She married Reverend John Wilberforce in 2013.

In August 2024, Portia opened up about her divorce in a candid interview with Ahodwo TV, but made it clear that she would not let it break her spirit. “I’m not a quitter,” she said. “Nothing can defeat me except against God’s will. I’m not going to give up just because I’ve been divorced twice. I’m not at a disadvantage. God said He will direct my steps; He’s the one who tells me where to go.”

Portia Asare is determined not to let this setback hold her back. “I’m not ready yet, but if marriage comes 10,000 times, I will get married 10,000 times. I still have a long way to go.”
