Another coalition agreement between the Democratic Alliance and the Freedom Front Plus is also in jeopardy – this time in Langeberg in the Western Cape.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Democratic Alliance said its alliance with the Freedom Front + party had dissolved after the Democratic Alliance filed a lawsuit against the Freedom Front + party for refusing to support the alliance’s budget in parliament in May.

While DA provincial leader Tertuis Simmers added that this constituted a major breach of the coalition agreement, Freedom Front+ Western Cape leader Corné Mulder insisted that the party adhered to the agreement between the two parties and that the DA had unilaterally abandoned it.

More to come.
