(CNS): Police officers patrolling Marymorley Heads Road in West Bay on Monday observed a vehicle partially blocking the road with two people inside acting suspiciously. They searched the vehicle and its occupants under the Misuse of Drugs Act and seized suspected cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of oxycodone.
As a result, police arrested two suspects, a 51-year-old George Town man and a 30-year-old West Bay woman, on suspicion of possession of cocaine, use of cocaine, possession of marijuana, use of marijuana, possession of a controlled drug and use of a controlled drug. The woman was also arrested for violating an arrest warrant. They remain in custody as the investigation continues.
The arrests follow a previous operation at the same location in response to community concerns about illegal and anti-social activity.
