The Honourable Mario K. Bowleg, MP, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, congratulates Miss Bahamas Teen Universe Flonique Lightbourne on her title of Miss Teen Universe 2021

As Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations to 17-year-old Flonique Lightbourne, who was crowned Miss Teen Universe on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Panama City, Panama.

Ms. Lightbourne also served as Miss Teen Universe Bahamas and is a native of Freeport, Grand Bahama. She represented our country brilliantly and deserves praise for winning the Best Talent Award at the Miss Teen Universe pageant. Ms. Lightbourne competed against 13 beautiful teenagers from different countries.

Ms. Lightbourne is one of many talented, dedicated and courageous teenagers who will continue to make this great country proud in beauty pageants. The high level she consistently performs at will not go unnoticed.

I also take this opportunity to thank and highlight the many family, friends and supporters who stand with Ms. Lightbourne. Their commitment and loyalty during the pageant process serve as an inspiring reminder and foundation upon which to build upon for success. I share in your success and wish you even greater success in your future endeavors.
