Fourth employee dies at same factory in Sweden – Police investigating unexplained deaths

Last year, three employees of battery manufacturer Northvolt died inexplicably during their shifts at the Skellefteå plant. On Tuesday morning, Swedish police announced that they are investigating another factory worker death.

A fourth factory worker died in July, police said. The latest death was not related to Northvolt but occurred during leisure time, police added.

Communications Manager, Northvolt Matt Cartaja confirmed the recent deaths in a press release.

“I have received confirmation from the police that an employee tragically drowned during his free time outside of work hours in July,” Katajah said in a news release.
