(CNS): Police said they received multiple reports over the weekend of groups of between two and 10 boys, believed to be between 12 and 15 years old, approaching members of the public and shooting at them with what appeared to be pellet guns or gel guns. Police said while no one was injured in the incidents, they caused fear and panic among community members.
The RCIPS advises boys who engage in such activities to stop immediately. Parents, especially those of teenagers who own such toys, are advised to explain to their children the possible negative effects of such activities.
Police are investigating the incident, which occurred between 8pm and 10pm on Friday and Saturday, August 2 and 3, in the vicinity of Newport Avenue, Ketura Street, Hope Avenue and Paxton Street in Georgetown.
