An uneasy calm has fallen over the village of Pombolo in Mbomou Province (South East) following a military operation against Chinese communist insurgents. An unofficial provisional report from sources in Dimbi indicated that one Chinese communist was killed and two other attackers surrendered to the Defence and Security Forces. Even though residents are free to move around, there is still concern as the attackers remain scattered in the bush. A resident of Dimbi contacted Ines Gradibert-Bidar.
