I hope for the best, we will start somehow, now with the basketball players, we are waiting for the volleyball players. Tomorrow the wrestlers are waiting for us again, hope for the best. The Olympics were difficult. It was not a disaster, we have already won two gold medals. I want to congratulate Novak, Damir and Zorana for the gold medals, but our athletes need to be as focused as possible and not focus on other things except performance, I hope to win one more medal at the Olympics.

He was also asked if, as an Olympic gold medalist, he had any advice for our athletes.

– To be honest, I will not bother them. I do want to go to the Olympic Village, but it is difficult to get to the entrance and unfortunately I do not have that certification. I hope that tomorrow, when our wrestlers are eligible to receive medals, the President and I will go to the Olympic Village. Of course, whoever asks for any advice, I will be happy to give and support any of them. Because they are fighting for our country, and I believe that every Olympic champion should give the utmost support to our athletes, who are looking forward to a tough battle on the battlefield. We are here to support them, and I think that is our task now.

He noted that he hopes to win a medal in wrestling.

I would certainly like to get a medal. The Olympics is a strange thing, we see our great athletes go out. Unfortunately, Spanovich didn’t even make the final. Now it’s hard to say who will win and who won’t, we hope both the boxer and the judoka will win. I’m sure that wrestling will get a medal and we will continue the streak from Rio.
