Joshua Daryl McGregor was recently sentenced by a judge in Savannah, Georgia, to five years in prison for setting fire to a McDonald’s restaurant in April 2023 because he felt he had too much to do during his Sunday shift.
He lit a cardboard box on fire and threw it into a trash can outside the restaurant, but it was filled with flammable materials. The fire was so large that people waiting in line in the parking lot had to leave the scene, WSBTV reported.
The restaurant also had to close and everyone left.
McGregor filmed it all on his cellphone.
He was identified on surveillance video before his arrest.
He admitted setting it on fire.
