On the second day of his visit to the Tavush region, the Prime Minister visited several settlements and learned about the progress of implementing projects

On the second day of his working visit to the Tavush region, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continued to get acquainted with programs such as subsidies implemented in the settlements and those that are still at the implementation stage.

The Prime Minister first learned about the progress of the 6.3 km section of the H-26, /M-4/ – Yenokavan – Karmirgyugh – /M-16/ highway. The cost of the project is 642 million Armenian drams, which is allocated by the government.

In Ijevan region, an investment project for the private sector to produce and expand decorative plants has been submitted to the head of government. The project plans to expand the production area to 70 hectares, and currently about 16 hectares of land are under construction.

Nikol Pashinyan’s next stop was Hashtarak, where the process of building a temporary bridge was presented. The construction cost is about 32 million Armenian drams. Thus, a temporary transit bridge will be built. These works are carried out with state budget funds. The Hashtarak bridge collapsed due to flooding in the Tavush region.

On the second day of the regional visit, the Prime Minister was informed about the progress of the construction of the new modular kindergarten in Bagratesh in the Noyemberyan neighborhood. The cost of the project is 874 million Armenian drams. A one-story metal structure building is being built, a kindergarten with a capacity of 144 students. The government allocated 874.3 million Armenian drams for the project.

In the Noyebelyan neighborhood, Nikol Pashinyan also learned about the progress of the construction of the new Bagrationash school, which cost 1 billion Armenian drams. The school is designed to accommodate 432 students. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

The head of government visited the Aylum kindergarten in the Noyembeyan neighborhood, where renovation work will be completed in September 2024. Currently, the renovation and decoration of the building has been completed.

Nikol Pashinyan then learned about the asphalt paving project on Shiraz Street in Noyembelyan. The cost of the project, which was implemented under the subsidy program, was 86 million Armenian drams, of which 47 million were provided by the government.

As part of the visit, the paving project of the Fifth Street in Baganis settlement was presented to the head of government. The cost of the project, which was implemented under the subsidy program, was 39 million Armenian drams, of which 27 million were provided by the government.

As part of the road construction project, Nikol Pashinyan was briefed on the reconstruction of the 3.7-kilometer-long Acharkut-Kirants section, which is expected to cost about 1.1 billion Armenian drams. The work is currently in its final stages.

The construction of the new road in the Kilanz village section has been reported to the Prime Minister. The asphalt paving work has been completed, and the road paving and retaining wall construction work is about to be completed. The total length of the road is about 0.7 kilometers.

Nikol Pashinyan presented the plan to build a cattle shed in the Sarigyug settlement of the Ijevan community under the government program “Construction or reconstruction of ‘smart’ cattle sheds and their technical support”, a project costing 23 million Armenian drams. The farmer bought 16 cows of Jersey and Phlegmy breeds. The milk production is 22-23 liters per day and due to its high quality, it is sold for 300 Armenian drams. The barn is designed to accommodate 20-25 cows.

At Belkabel settlement, the Prime Minister held a meeting with locals, listened to their issues and answered a series of questions.

The head of government attended the opening ceremony of the central park of the Sevkar settlement. The total cost of the subsidy program is 89 million Armenian drams, of which 49 million Armenian drams are allocated by the government. 2230 square meters of area were renovated, 1285 square meters of tiles were laid, pumping stations and fountain filtration stations were built.

The Prime Minister met with residents of Voskpal and answered questions about the program “State support for housing security in border settlements.”
