Asir Municipality increases capacity of Abha Model Slaughterhouse

In addition to strengthening the supervision of livestock sales venues, the Asir Regional Municipality has also increased the capacity of the Abha City Public Model Slaughterhouse by increasing the number of professionals and sanitary, supervisory, monitoring and medical staff. Dr. Walid Al-Hamidi of the region explained that the municipality increased the capacity of the Abha City Model Slaughterhouse and improved the level of sanitary supervision due to the recent increase in the number of tourists.

Hamidi pointed out that the Secretariat allows an increase in the number of slaughter points through kitchens according to an organized plan, conducts inspections of livestock entering the premises, ensures safety before slaughter, organizes the entry and exit of citizens, and supervises the organized delivery of slaughtered animals, in addition to assigning a certain number of observers and supervisors to monitor slaughterhouses, slaughter points and kitchens during the validity period of the license, and to follow up slaughterhouse operators and ensure proper inspections of animals before and after slaughter.
