WASHINGTON — Sebastian Korda Father and son won their second ATP Tour title together at the Mubadala City Flag Washington Open on Sunday night.

Korda noted that he has been competing in the Washington tournament since he was a teenager and that his father was once the coach of Radek Stepanek, who won the event in 2011 and is now Sebastian’s coach.
Korda, 24, is a 6-foot-5 right-handed player whose brother is a golf star Nellie and Jessica KordaHis mother, Regina Rajchrtova, played on the WTA tour.

“When someone has a good result, others want to have a better result too,” he said. “It’s great that all the Americans are evenly matched. All the Americans are playing very well right now. Hopefully we can have good results in the upcoming Grand Slams.”
Korda will jump to a career-high No. 18 when the new rankings are released on Monday.
