Volleyball: REG and RRA win Uganda KAVC Championship

It was a three-day tournament held in Uganda where Rwanda was represented by six teams, namely APR VC men and women, Police VC women, Rwanda Revenue Authority, Kepler VC and REG VC.

Except for Kepler VC and APR VC women’s teams which failed to make it to the final, all other Rwandan teams met in the final.

In the men’s final, REG VC defeated APR VC 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-21) to win the championship at the MTN Lugogo Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.

This is the second trophy REG VC has won this year after playing against Memorial Rutsindura and defeating Gisagara in the final.

RRA defeated POLICE 3-0, both teams are from Rwanda

In the women’s competition, Rwanda faced RRA (Rwanda Revenue Authority) and POLICE VC in the final.

RRA defeated POLICE VC, who had just won the tournament, 3-2, ultimately saving the game by 15 points.

This is the third time in a row that the Rwandan team has won the event and it is also a return for Uganda this year, since last year in 2023, the trophy was won by POLICE VC in the men’s category and APR VC in the women’s category and the year before, the APR VC team won the trophy.
