Saudi Meteorological Agency issues red alert: Extreme heat will begin in these areas within hours

The National Meteorological Center is the official body responsible for monitoring and analyzing weather conditions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Established in 2016, the center operates under the leadership of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and provides advanced services in the fields of meteorology and climate, using the latest technologies and scientific models to provide accurate and reliable information.

The latest data released by the center showed that the highest temperature in the capital Riyadh reached 45 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature reached 28 degrees Celsius. As for Jeddah, the highest temperature reached 38 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature reached 29 degrees Celsius. Due to its proximity to the Red Sea, the humidity is high.

The highest temperature in Dammam in the Eastern Province was 43 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 30 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature in Medina reached 44 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature reached 27 degrees Celsius.

The report pointed out that Abha city in Asir region recorded the lowest temperature in the country due to its high altitude, with the maximum temperature reaching 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature being 18 degrees Celsius.

The National Meteorological Center warned that strong winds are likely to blow over northern and eastern parts of the kingdom, and suspended dust could reduce horizontal visibility.

The Centre called on citizens and residents to take necessary precautions and follow safety instructions issued by the authorities, especially in areas where the temperature has risen significantly.

It is noteworthy that the National Meteorological Centre continuously updates data through its website and smart applications, allowing the public to view the latest information related to weather conditions across the country.
