Engineer Alaa Hilal.. the maker of light.. and the first Syrian opposition figure..

Since he started working in the late nineties, every event he has undertaken, whether it is an exhibition, a conference or a pavilion, has been meticulously crafted and unique, with his imprint becoming clearer with each passing year. Wasn’t the exhibition “Buildex”, as it is known, a distinctly Syrian one?
He is a master of exhibition architecture. His vocabulary is international and Syrian in spirit. He is good at imitating the visitors who visit his exhibitions. He is good at presenting his works. He knows to hit the target. He believes in combining. business goals and their need for exhibition space or room to discuss ideas.

Even in the most difficult conditions of the crisis, he was able to transform “Buildex”, the most famous and important exhibition in Syria and the region, into a Syrian event. He believes that exhibitions are a real bridge to urge producers and business owners to take action. Showing their work and ideas is also a way to tell the world that Syria is recovering and capable of victory.
This summer he is hosting 4 exhibitions simultaneously under the banner of Al-Arabi Exhibitions, each a story of recovery and departure, all of them an authentic expression of Syrians’ hunger for life, work and success… and their desire for progress, development and advancement.
Engineer Alaa Hilal… never limited himself to the task of building exhibition spaces and pavilions, even though he was the most proficient in this task… On the contrary, he was always a partner in building ideas and working on them… For him, any exhibition or conference was an independent case with its own specificity, and his presentation was based on ideas, not just tools.
At the Dubai Expo, he was able to be part of the Syrian Pavilion team, portraying the Syrian Pavilion with Syrian pride and love for their country, life and hope.
He and his team used a painting to record their love for their motherland… Each painting is a message, and all the messages constitute the greatness of the Syrians and the richness of their knowledge, emotions and nation…
At the Dubai Expo, he was able to fill the space at the Expo with art, culture and singing. He did not succumb to limited capacity, so he and his team invested in expanding visitor numbers.
Today, Alaa Hilal and his team at Arabian Exhibitions are working together on two major events for next September. A conference on digital transformation, which its organizers plan to be a real technological shift… and the Syrian Export Show, which is planned to be the largest exhibition of its kind witnessed by Syria and the region.
