Our trip to St. Martin ends here! Even though the girls and I have been back for four weeks, Luik is still enjoying his last day and will be back on Saturday!
After tons of comments suggesting I could write the last page, here it is!!!!
She will review all the different aspects of St. Martin and we start with the least beautiful! Because yes, if the beaches are magnificent, the interior of the island has some negative aspects too.
Just like all these makeshift waste disposal sites that are popping up all over the place, plaguing the landscape!
But hey, we’re on an island, we can’t make it any bigger!
Water meters are not always up to scratch!
Everyone puts their mailbox where they want it! Good luck to the mailman!
Ah, electrical wires!!! This is a great story! Good luck to the electrician too!
Who even left their shoes there!
There are an incredible number of small supermarkets on St. Maarten, I don’t know how they don’t compete with each other.
Then you must want to go back!
We found an unusual fence…
Rosettes made from beer cans! I think we should think about that!!!
Especially on the roads in St. Martin, they don’t know the bends! It must be said that they were not bothered by the ice, but it was still steep in some places!
Besides, we will never be bored when we are walking on the road! We can admire the school bus :
Stuck in a traffic jam (on the only road!), we had time to take a photo of the clothes drying on the fence in front of the garbage cans!
We encountered a cow!
You can even go shopping!
We cross borders!
Well, all aspects of it might be shocking the first time, but you’ll soon get used to it because that’s what St. Maarten is all about!
A paradise beach: white sand, 29° turquoise water and incredible light!
This is Red Bay:
Cupekoy:
Mullet Bay:
Zoé was surprised for two years!
A little corner of paradise: Pinel!
From it you can admire the reliefs of Saint Martin:
Lena took advantage of this too!
The biggest attraction of the island is first of all the Maho ruins, whose beach is located at the end of the airport runway!
We can believe that the plane will come towards us!
For our villains, St. Martin will be a feast of adventure and excitement!
Whether on board…
Or at the beach!
I think we could count the hours that Lena spent lying in the sand!
2 years of pool at your fingertips …
Diving for 2 years!
2 years of game time
2 years of technical strength!!
But there are also two years of relaxation!!
We will also see the island from another perspective: on foot! Here is the last thing we did in Geneva Bay:
Along the rocky cliffs:
We also took advantage of the surrounding islands. Here is Anguilla:
You can see the island of St. Maarten in the background:
I will find a new passion: postcard photographer! (I have to say landscapes fit the bill!!)
Yes, you have to take advantage of this blue! ! ! !
We even had dinner at an incredible place! It’s on Sandy Island behind Anguilla. It’s simply a piece of sand with a hut on it!!!
We really felt like we had reached the end!
The girls can go for a walk without worries…
They are never far away!!!
Well, our two years are over and the girls have to go!
Before setting off, Léna set herself a challenge: to try a jet ski!
But she asked to come back soon! ! !
Goodbye sea!
Good bye Lolo!!!!! (We ate ribs with curry rice, plantains and lots of other goodies at a local restaurant!!!)
Goodbye St. Martin!
Well we still have to go back and (re)show the girls all this!!!!!!!!!
It was an experience we will never forget and it changed the way we live and think. For that, I am so grateful to my husband for taking us there!
Thank you for reading my articles for two years. I am happy to share our experience with you, even if it may annoy you at times (especially at -10°!!!!!)!!!
Now we are back!!!!
