Djokovic wins Olympic tennis gold

Serbian Novak Djokovic won the first Olympic tennis gold medal of his career today (Sunday) by defeating Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz in a close match at the Roland Garros stadium at the “Paris 2024” tournament.

The 37-year-old Serbian finished first in this tournament, becoming the fifth player to win the “Golden Slam”, winning the precious metal for the fifth time in his Olympic Games, which also added another point to his record of 24 titles in the four major world championships.
