A female police officer from Huzhou was arrested because her husband committed suicide in Wulu County.
The deceased was reportedly a 42-year-old police sergeant who committed suicide after an argument with his police wife.
Lake State police spokesperson Maj Elijah Mabor Makuach, who confirmed the arrest to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, said the deceased allegedly shot himself at his residence in Wulu.
“The police decided to arrest his wife, who is a corporal with the Lake District Police Station,” he said.
Major Makuachi disclosed that the deceased officer had a violent argument with his wife, but he could not reveal the details of what happened.
“No one knows what happened but we have arrested his wife for investigation,” he said.
