Read the book Remember Your Way to the Grave
The book is about death and going to the grave, and the author asks the reader to remember people’s paths to the grave, his story of falling asleep alone, and his first night in the book.
"My brother…remember your way to the grave…and remember you sleeping there alone…in a narrow, dark hole…closed and shut…
Do you remember the first night you spent, the first night you visited, and the first question you heard from your Lord? What religion do you believe in? What do you think of the one who was sent to you?
Remember {and remember, for remembering is good for believers} [الذاريات: 55]."
Of course, Muslims and pagans do not spend the night in graves, but simply bury the bodies without knowing it, because the soul of a dead Muslim spends the night in Paradise, where the angels of Paradise receive him, as God Almighty said:
"Those to whom the angels carry away health, saying, “Peace be to you,” enter heaven and do the things you once did."
The soul of a dead non-believer spends a night in the hellfire of heaven, where the angels of hellfire will receive him, as God Almighty says:
We who were put to death by the angels, we have done nothing evil, God is all-knowing. (28) So enter, O Father, the gate. Hell is a miserable abode for the arrogant."
Angels are not in graves on earth, but in heaven, as God Almighty says:
" How many kings are there in heaven? " They fear the coming of the earth, as God Almighty says:
"Say: If there are angels walking in peace on earth, we will send them an angel and a messenger from heaven."
The author says of the moment of death:
"Remember the last moments
No one is like this except for the one hard moment of death he is promised…the soul is crushed, the spirit comes out…you will see his whole inner being dying…the truth of his deeds ..and what he has done in his time…the wise man is not the one who gathers for the world…or wins prestige and high positions in it…but he who spends his whole life in worry, with the worry of death squeezing his heart…and he who keeps a thousand records of his deeds and words…that is the eloquent, knowledgeable, perceptive man.
My brothers…remember this decisive moment…for it is a moment of scandal and dignity…when the disobedient renounce martyrdom, they will be exposed and the signs of evil will appear to them, in whom the believer is glorified today, and when the signs of good appear before him, you will be tormented with shame, because you used to speak of God without truth and despised His signs.} [الأنعام الآية: 93].
O heavenly Rashia, he was deceived by hope
And you’ll be leaving soon
You want to catch up without increasing your progress
When the hidden people roll up and pray
Don’t depend on the world and its decorations
You’ll soon be moving on
“You hope to live as long as Noah, and God’s command knocks on your door every night,” Hassan said.
Salman – may Allah be pleased with him – was dying, and someone asked him: What made you cry when you were a companion of the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace? He said: I am not crying because of regret for this world, nor because of longing for it, but the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – made a covenant with us, so we left there the covenant he made with us. In the language of one of us, it was like a rider’s supplies, and he looked at what he had left, and the value of what he had left was twenty or thirty dirhams.
My brother…the moment of death is a moment of promise…your role in the journey of life ends…your livelihood is cut off…the record of your deeds is folded…so that the reckoning may begin {when their time comes they will not delay an hour nor push forward} [يونس: 49].
If you think carefully about your situation at that moment, you will know that it is a moment of decision and solemnity, and most people do not realize that it is a moment of a long journey, the beginning of which is gratitude and the end of which is the end. There is an eternity in heaven or hell. Depending on the situation at that moment… the essence of the end will be – may God bless him and give him peace – saying: “Whoever dies for a cause, God will raise him for it.” Number (6419)."
Of course, the moment of death affects everyone, Muslim or pagan, and it is not difficult for a Muslim to prepare for what happens after death, but it is difficult for a pagan, as Allah the Almighty says:
" The pain of death comes with the truth, and that is what you have strayed from. "
The author tells us that the words of man contradict the words of God when he says:
"Ibrahim Tayy said: Two things cut off my joy in this world: the memory of death, and the memory of my situation in the hands of God."
God commands Muslims to enjoy the lawful good things in the world, saying:
" Say, “Who forbade the ornaments and good things God has provided for His servants?” "

Then he said:
"What sufferings do humans have in this world?
Even though he got hope
He hides his shortcomings in life
There is no such word in it
What he thinks is right
He is very happy, he is said to be ill
When it’s there
It is said that Tawya is moving.
Who will I bring good luck to?
Good work ensues
Umar ibn Abdul Aziz said to Abu Hazem: Advise me, so he said: Lie down, and then place death on your head, and then see what you wanted to have then and what you find in it now, and what you hate that you have in you, then leave it now.
My brother…the moment of death exposes the world…exposes its humiliation…what good then is it to his master at the moment of his death…what good is it to him after his death…what a pity that he neglected the debt and sold it for a fleeting pleasure…or a vanishing desire, only to find it in remorse and misery at the moment of death…
My brother, this is a poem, if one understands it and ponders its meaning, he will understand the secret of life… In it the Almighty says:
{Every soul will taste death, but you will be fully rewarded on the Day of Resurrection, so whoever leaves the Fire and enters Paradise is certain to gain victory, and the life of this world is but a deceptive enjoyment.} [آل عمران: 185]."
He said of the moment of entering the tomb:
"Remember to enter the grave
My brother… No son of Adam is hung by his neck without knowing where he is in the Grave… and what he will get in it, whether it is bliss or hell… On the authority of Abu Sa’id al-Khudri – may Allah be pleased with him – he said: The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – said: “If a funeral is held and men hang her by her neck, if she is righteous, she says: Take me forward, and if she is unrighteous, she says: Woe to her, where are you taking her? Her voice is audible to all except human beings. If he had heard the narration in Sahih Bukhari, he would have been shocked.”"
The narration is precedent and is not what the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, the error is that the sound of the funeral was heard by everything except humans, which contradicts the fact that the jinn are separated from the hearing, based on the evidence stated by the Almighty. "Their hearing is blocked. "And what he said in Surat Al-Saffat "They don’t listen to the Supreme Council and slander from all sides "Here the jinn cannot hear the sound, and of course any soul that dies will rise to the highest assembly after the end like everything else, as he says in Surat Al-Sajdah. "He governs the affairs of heaven and earth, and then returns to him within a thousand years. "Therefore, the elves heard nothing about the ascension of the dead, either from themselves or from others, which contradicted their own statements. "Zainab, daughter of the Messenger of Allah, died and her voice was heard among the people who were beaten "Ibn Abi Duniya narrates her voice in death, as the claim of the “Supreme” invariably excludes humans, a glaring contradiction."
He told us about the deceased’s work, saying:
"So remember my brother…the day you walked to the grave…the day your neck shook…your family and loved ones made you cry…and you sat on a hunched machine without any strength or power…remember the day you endured..what can you say..
Remember the day you entered the grave…what work you did!The Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – said: “Three things are left behind the dead: his family, his money and his work, two of which return and one remains: his family and money return and his work is narrated by Sahih Bukhari and Muslim."
The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not say anything in this narration that the error is that the money is behind the deceased, so how can his house be moved to the grave? How can his shop, gold or money be transferred to the grave?
Then he said:
"Who ever misses changing their home?
And replace it with a good home
If its two sides were connected, what would it say?
It meets here and here
What would he say if he found himself in the pit?
Individuals who have left their families and homes
There he learned the range of both beasts and what they were used for.
He will meet someone who has become dependent on his happiness
Al-Hasan Al-Basri said: I was surprised that those who ordered food were called away while they were playing.
When the funeral was held, Yusuf ibn Asbat was dying and they would carry him to his home in a coffin.
This is how it was with the elders, for whom the invisible and the seen were equal. They were sure of what they heard about the grave. And his torment and his happiness… And this Sufyan Tavari, when he mentioned death, many days no one would benefit from it. He would not eat or drink. If anyone asked him something, he would say: I don’t know.
Instead, Rabbi ben Hashem dug a grave in his house, and whenever he found himself hardened within, he would go in and lie down until God’s will, and then he would say, “Oh my God. Lord, come back, maybe I can do some of the things I left behind.” Then he would answer himself: Oh, Rabbi, I am back, so work.
Someone said to Zayd bin Yazid: Why do we see you weeping, solemn, and afraid? He said: God promised me that if I did not obey him, he would put me in hell. Oh God, if he had not threatened me, if I did not obey him, he would have imprisoned me, and I would have cried without knowing it except in the bathroom.
When Othman bin Affan – may God be pleased with him – stood on a grave, he would cry until his beard was wet. Someone asked him about this and told him: Remember Paradise and Hell, so do not cry, and you too. Standing on a grave and crying? ! He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – say: The grave is the first stage of the Hereafter. If his companions escape, then what follows is easier for him, and if he does not survive, then what follows is worse. “Because the grave is the first stage of the Hereafter… The truth of one’s deeds will be revealed in it…"
All these stories from the past, none of them are true, as they all contradict the Book of Allah. It is believed that mentioning death will not make a Muslim sad, lazy or sit at home, but will force him to do more in obedience to God, as God Almighty said:
" And provide for yourself, the best support is piety "

Sadness, crying, and wasting time at home are sins that God has not commanded.
Then he said:
"Oh, Gadea, in the negligence and the smell
How long can you tolerate ugliness?!
To what extent are you not afraid of a situation?
Can God speak to the Raptors?!
I was surprised when I saw you
How did you avoid the obvious path?!
How do you accept that you are a loser?
The day when whoever wins wins
So, my brother, look at this world. For it will all pass away…and think about your loneliness in the grave, and your pain and problems therein…and remember that your real future is after you die.
Death has a poisonous effect, so be careful
If a doctor comes to you, it won’t heal you"
He asked Muslim men to be ready to stand trial, saying:
"Prepare to settle accounts
My brother…if you wish that your grave be illuminated…and find in it things that please you…and that you enter it as powerful, generous, righteous and pleased…then take responsibility for your actions today and find out the truth of your actions…for if you carefully examine the truth of your piety and the extent of your obedience to Almighty God…for you will undoubtedly know yourself…and you will appreciate to which of these two groups you belong. This Quran calls on you to look at your tomorrow with calculation and follow-up, and Allah Almighty says: {O you who believe, fear Allah and leave all to Allah. The soul ponders the goal it has set for tomorrow and fears God, for indeed, God knows what you do.} [الحشر: 18].
The truth about how you see yourself is that you take responsibility for everything big and small before you ask:
How does a knowledgeable person enjoy life?
The God of Creation must be questioned
Then his injustice towards his servants will be undone.
He rewards him with the good he does.
Maimon bin Mihran said: Whoever wishes to know his position before God Almighty, let him look at his work, for whoever he is, his work will come.
Al-Fudayl bin Iyad asked a man and said to him: How much did she pay for you?
He said: Sixty years.
He said: You have been moving towards your Lord for sixty years and you are about to reach It.
The man said, “To Allah we belong, and to Him we will return.” [البقرة: 156].
Al-Fudayl said: Do you know its interpretation? It says: To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return, so whoever knows that Allah is a servant and to Him we shall return, let him know that he is arrested, and whoever knows that he is arrested, let him know that he is responsible, and whoever knows that he is responsible, let him prepare an answer to a question.
My dear brother, God Almighty commands you to fear the day when you will return to Him, because God Almighty says: {And fear the day when you will return to God. All the money earned will be paid back, and they will not be wronged.} [البقرة: 281] How pious do you think a Muslim will be when he enters the grave and is judged on the day of judgment? Isn’t it by fearing God Almighty that we can avoid suffering? Isn’t it by obeying God’s commands… and avoiding His prohibitions and hastening to do good? Isn’t it by abandoning sin… and turning to God in repentance… and abandoning indulgence and following desires? Isn’t it by looking to the future, rebuking ourselves at all times, fearing God, and holding on to God from temptation?
Except, you who forgot your departure date
I see your separation about death
Nor does he help the weary
They all left the world as it was.
They only brought cotton and rags
The house they built remains empty
They are deep in the earth, dead and dry.
Friends and friends who were once friends
Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, you will be in their neighborhood
Alone in the Grave
So be prepared to go to the bathroom.
Soon, leave all worries and hopes behind
My brother… make amends while you have enough life left… and turn to God in repentance and good works before He prevents you from salvation.
Abu Sulaiman al-Darani said: If a wise man does not cry for the rest of his life except for the fact that he has committed a disobedience, he will die of sorrow, then what about the man who faces the rest of his life? Will he live in the same ignorance as before?
Ibn Masood said: I regret nothing more than the day when the sun sets and my life is shortened, while my works are not increased. Be careful, my brother, lest death come upon you without your knowledge. Then nothing will be in your favor – God’s will – and no one will stop you…Except the one good deed you have performed…May it be your salvation to the grave.
This is God’s warning to His servants… He establishes the point and clarifies the argument {O you who believe, do not let your wealth or your children distract you from the remembrance of God, whoever does this – those are the ones who * use the money I have provided for you when one of you is dying, and then he says, “My Lord, if only You would delay me for a while, so that I may be honest and faithful.” The righteous * God will not delay a soul when the time comes, and God knows what you do. } [المنافقون: 9 – 11].
If you are smart, be careful before you die
Soon the grave will bear
And you became a hostage in the grave and surrendered
There are young men under my ground, swarming in
Farida was alone in the dirt, but…
The boy’s companions in the grave knew what he was doing
Ali made a speech – may God be pleased with him – and said: Verily, the world has come to an end, foreshadowing the farewell, and the Hereafter has come, foreshadowing the coming. Verily, the track is today, the race is today. Verily, the race is heaven, the goal is death, and indeed you are in the days of respite, and whoever works in His grace before the deadline arrives, he shall inherit his work. It shall be to his advantage, and his hope shall not harm him, and whoever does not work in His grace before the deadline arrives, his hope shall harm him, and his work shall be to his disadvantage.
We are happy for the day we finish
Every day that passes brings me closer to death
So work hard for yourself before you die.
Profits and losses are in business"
Muslims absolutely need to be prepared for death at all times by doing good deeds
