International media reported on Sunday that sirens were sounded in the town of Shmona and the settlement of Tel Hai in the Upper Galilee region following a massive missile attack in Lebanon.
The Russia Today website said that a large missile salvo was launched at the Finger of Galilee, after which a huge explosion was heard and Israeli interceptor missiles were seen operating in the area.
“There are reports that 50 missiles were fired from Lebanon towards Galilee not long ago,” said Hadashut Hamot, a Hebrew website.
Israel’s Channel 14 said that “some 50 missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards the Upper Galilee not long ago.”
