Malawi parliamentary delegation visits President

New Delhi: A Malawi parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the National Assembly of Malawi, Catherine Gotani Hara, paid a courtesy visit to Indian President Draupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace.

The President welcomed the delegation and said India and Malawi have a long history of friendly relations and there is much room for growth in the relationship. She said our shared belief in democratic values ​​and pluralism makes India and Malawi natural partners.

The President noted that India is one of Malawi’s largest trading and private investment partners and a preferred destination for Malawian nationals in terms of health and education. She was pleased to note that India and Malawi have a strong development partnership programme and many projects have been implemented in Malawi in the areas of infrastructure, health, water resources, capacity building and education.
