Chester Zoo has celebrated the birth of one of the rarest animals on Earth.
The Cheshire attraction said the Persian wild donkey was born to mother Azita after a year-long pregnancy.
Wild donkeys are native to the semi-desert areas of Iran and are related to the domestic donkey.
The foal was named Jasper, which means treasure in Persian.
