PARIS — Andre de Grasse has reached the men’s 100-meter semifinals at the Paris Olympics.
The 29-year-old sprinter from Markham, Ontario, finished third in the Division 7 race with a time of 10.07 seconds.

Kenny Bednarek of the United States led the group with a time of 9.97 seconds, while Emmanuel Essem of Cameroon ran a season’s best of 9.98 seconds.
De Grasse won bronze medals in the 100 meters at the past two Olympics and set a personal best of 9.89 seconds at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
