P-au-P, August 2, 2024 (AlterPresse) – The Popular Patriotic Front (Fpp), composed of different socio-political organizations in Haiti, recommends reforms to the Presidential Transition Council (Cpt), which is embroiled in a scandal The online agency AlterPresse points out that the company is involved in corruption, which allegedly involves three advisers and presidents.
FPP requires replacement of three persons Advisor and President Louis Gerald Gilles, Smith Augustin and Emmanuel Vitiller are suspected of being involved in the corruption scandal.
The three advisors and chairmen Allegedly demanded hundreds of thousands of dollars from the chairman of the board of directors of Banco Nacional de Crédit (BNC)a state agency, to get him back to work.
The FPP also proposed reducing the membership of the Cpt, which currently consists of eight deputies and one deputy, to five.
“The beginning of the transition was not smooth. It was a serious mistake to let party leaders lead the transition. Everything that is happening now is the result of this political choice,” the Popular Patriotic Front argued.
He wants to revise the April 3, 2024 agreement signed by different politicians to remove the Communist Party’s privileges to choose the members of all other transitional institutions.
As of now, the agreement has not been published in Le Moniteur, the official newspaper of the Republic.

The allegations, which make it believed that the three presidential advisers would be involved in corrupt practices, constitute a “scandal” that “could discredit certain members of the Presidential Transition Council (Cpt),” acknowledged Edgard Le Blanc Fils, coordinator of operations for the CPT, Haiti’s highest executive authority today.
