Peace asks PG to investigate concession issue in Kabalebo area

Member of Parliament Jennifer Vreedzaam (NDP) has asked the Attorney General (pg) to investigate the land applications and granting of concessions/land under Kabalebo. The representative said in a letter to the head of the prosecution that these are native habitats.

These investigations are very important given that during the application and allotment of land, actions may be taken that violate legal provisions, conditions or procedures in order to possibly obtain any illegal benefit for oneself or others. Vreedzaam pointed out that the correct procedures have not been followed in the application and release of land.

The councillor said that since the matter cannot be dealt with in silence, he hoped to get a reply from the PG in the short term.
