Organisers Suva are gearing up for the 2024 Rooster Chicken/Scoop Ice Cream Giants Battle semi-finals.
Real Madrid scored just one goal in three group games, and that one came from a Dave Ladriguez penalty.
Captain Akuila Matsuwa said they needed to start scoring because without goals you can’t win the game.
“We had a good performance in the European Championship, but we needed goals to win the game. The semi-final will be a completely different game and we will try to improve the weak areas.”
“We have great finishers on our team, we just need to get them to work together to score goals.”
“Our defence and midfield also performed well and we hope to maintain our consistency in the semi-final,” he said.
Flick Hygiene Suva will face Smart and Efficient Security/Calgary Nadi in the second semi-final at 4:30pm.
