The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence hosted 38 eleventh grade students from across the UAE as part of its first ‘Summer School’, which focused on careers in the field of artificial intelligence and gave them a close look at its capabilities and innovative solutions, at the university’s campus in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.

The university, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, organised the initiative to urge students to develop entrepreneurial skills and teamwork through group projects focused on artificial intelligence and sustainable development. At the end of the project, students presented to a dedicated committee solutions and ideas they had found that could help use artificial intelligence to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.

The number of applicants for the first “Summer School” exceeded the required number, reaching more than 230 people.
