VILLAHERMOSA, Tab (apro).- The Standing Committee of the National Action Party (PAN) agreed to the “dissolution procedure” of its Tabasco State Steering Committee, after it did not reach 3% of the votes in the elections of last December 2.
The Blue and Whites thus lose local leadership in the land of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and dealing with its bellicosity will be the responsibility of a delegation appointed in Mexico City.
In accordance with its statutes, the Blue and Whites’ highest governing body ordered the suspension of the functions of Tabasco’s leadership and appointed a provisional board of directors, with Yucatecan María Bolío Pinello named as its president.
On July 12, several members of the National National Party held a press conference to release a document calling on the National Party National Committee to fire the party’s state chairperson, Jemima Alonzo Quay, for not reaching the 3 percent of registered votes achieved in the July 2 elections that it lost in 2018.
New Representative Kathia Bolio spent a year (2022) in charge of the state’s blue and white affairs and was sworn in in 2023 under the now former state president.
According to the results of the gubernatorial election a month ago, this year the National Action Party achieved its worst election result in this century.
