The CoE is a partnership with IBM and is available to business partners in the region to help them co-create solutions and generate new business opportunities for their clients.
SAN PABLO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TD SYNNEX (NYSE: SNX), a leading global distributor and aggregator of IT ecosystem solutions, today announced the opening of a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in alliance with IBM. The CoE is a competency center that provides business partners and companies in the region with the opportunity to learn more and explore cutting-edge technologies in the industry, such as artificial intelligence, data, automation, customized solutions and sustainability, that impact business challenges and solve them. In addition, we support our customers with disruptive solutions throughout the sales cycle. The center is now open to partners in Brazil and will soon be operational in other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We are fortunate to be the bridge between companies developing technology and the channels that bring it to market. We share a common purpose and responsibility with suppliers and resellers. The TD SYNNEX CoE we are launching today with IBM will be a hub for innovation and best practices related to new technologies. Our clients will benefit from unparalleled experience, cutting-edge solutions and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will ultimately lead to superior business results and competitive advantage,” explained Otavio Lazarini, President of TD SYNNEX Latin America and the Caribbean.
“At IBM, we believe that collaboration is key to achieving new and powerful ways to positively impact business transformation. The inauguration of the TD SYNNEX CoE with the support of IBM will enable our partners to generate or improve their solutions using disruptive technologies such as automation, data and AI to create differentiators in the market. Innovative solutions not only optimize internal processes but also create new opportunities, which fundamentally contributes to sustainable economic growth and long-term competitiveness,” said Tonny Martins, President and General Manager of Technology, IBM Latin America.
New technologies and ongoing support for business partners
As expectations and opportunities in the region’s IT market continue to grow, we also need to be prepared to effectively respond to challenging situations. In this sense, the training and development of strategic skills is crucial.
The TD SYNNEX CoE is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with support centers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. It is supported by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to empowering all business partners and driving operational excellence. Areas of expertise include IBM Software (Data, AI, Business Automation, IT Automation, and Security), Storage, and Red Hat (Openshift, Ansible, and RHEL).
For Alvaro Andrade, Director of Vendor Management for IBM and Red Hat at LAC TD SYNNEX, the CoE aims to address the concerns that partners have in relation to the use of IBM technologies: what is the best strategy to include it in the market, how to prepare your teams and clients, and how to develop the best solutions for them. “Providing a unique experience to partners is the main goal of the CoE. We want our partners to be able to use IBM and Red Hat solutions more effectively, co-create solutions, position themselves in the market, and accompany clients in the development of projects,” explains Andrade.
The CoE will connect the entire LAC region and TD SYNNEX is making significant investments in three pillars:
——First, in terms of human resources. The center has more than 25 professionals located in different countries throughout the region. The team includes a group of architects with excellent knowledge and rich experience in developing solutions. In addition, the CoE is supported by the TD SYNNEX business development team, which will work to connect business partners with IBM and Red Hat and develop demand generation and marketing plans. In the CoE, partners will have resources such as demonstration environments, reference cases, methodologies, and proofs of concepts to provide sales support and improve the performance of minimum viable products.
– The second pillar is the physical center itself. Located in São Paulo, the CoE will allow TD SYNNEX partners to work with IBM professionals in the region. This Center of Excellence will be connected to other TD SYNNEX centers in Latin America and the Caribbean through remote connection points, so that partners can access all the resources available in the São Paulo center. Business partners will have support from a team of professionals through the appointment of a regional manager who will coordinate the work of experts in the different countries in the region.
– The third pillar of this investment is a solid marketing structure. Through the promotion of different activities, CdE will strive to support the development of new business partners, provide new practices to existing partners and position important technologies. We will accompany partners together throughout the sales cycle, from training to the development of marketing plans, as well as support for lead generation and subsequent support. “TD SYNNEX will facilitate the entry and growth of partners in the IBM world, not only from a physical point of view, but also in terms of familiarity with the nuances of its technologies and business applications” said Fabiano Rodrigues, Director of Distribution of IBM products at TD SYNNEX in Brazil.
