“Take a cruise to the Caribbean” is an idea that crosses our minds…
We thought about it, researched, and decided!!!! So we are on our way to a new adventure (well, not on the fly!)!
You can fly because the cruise ships depart from Puerto Rico. Our itinerary (just to tempt you!!): Curacao, Aruba, Dominica and St. Thomas!!!
You can see all of these islands on the map: www.infoantilles.com/popup/carte_des_antilles.asp
But before you can do all that, you have to line up! So we took pictures and killed time!!!
The largest luggage had already been taken care of by the staff and we went to our “room” to leave the rest there, but big surprise: it was actually a “cabin” worthy of its name!
We requested a family cabin so when we checked in we were hoping for a couple of beds! We told ourselves they made a mistake and didn’t give us a suitable room! Well, no!!!!
The girl’s bed is hidden in the ceiling! ! ! ! !
Still not too big for 4 people!!
The bathroom is small (properly sized for the room!!!)
The bonus is that we can brush our teeth with one hand, shower with the other, and pee at the same time!
Well, let’s get on with it! We’re not here to stay in the room anyway, so let’s go and visit the ship! ! ! ! Especially since it has 15 bridges, we have a lot to keep us busy!
This is a very impressive ship. Small numbers: it can hold up to 3100 passengers, has a crew of almost 1200, weighs 142,000 tons, is 311 meters long and 48 meters wide, and it all floats! Amazing! ! ! !
But most importantly, it is a magnificent ship! The stairs alone are proof of that:
We went up to the fourth deck and admired the exquisite sculptures:
Casino Royale:
Royal Gallery on Deck 5:
A chic shop:
There are many bars and lounges on board, here is the Imperial Lounge:
Le Schooner Bar:
The Champagne bar, we were obviously there for the champagne!
There’s even a theater, The Lyric:
The Royal Gallery as seen from the “other side” of the bridge:
The floors, the heights, the never-ending elevator sweeps, made us dizzy!
Dining Room:
At the party, Léna chose this dress! ! ! !
We will once again walk up these enchanting stairs to visit the exterior:
This is what Léna was looking for from the beginning: a swimming pool!
This one, on the other hand, is reserved exclusively for adults:
Catch! More bars!!!
Wow! We just discovered self-service ice machines!!! So that’s pretty cool (not to mention the silhouette!!)
Now let’s go to the Sports Bridge: golf, roller skating, basketball court, ping pong table, rock climbing wall, we are feasting our eyes!!!
Léna couldn’t take it anymore, she had to give golf a try!!
Everyone plays….
Even though it was Zoe, we had the impression that she was passing the rake! ! !
Meanwhile, I took some photos of the San Juan scenery from the boat.
But it’s not easy to navigate the city.
Finally on the last bridge, there is a church! ! !
If anyone is interested, you can get married on the boat! ! ! ! !
Night was falling and we were about to head out, so we headed back outside on the deck to check it out!
Behind the window is the spa! But hey, the cheapest massage was still $119, so I guess we won’t have the pleasure of getting a massage on the boat!!!!!!!!!
The swimming pool reserved for adults as seen at night:
And just like that, we were off!!! To celebrate, an orchestra played music by the pool!
The girls were even photographed dancing!
We were dizzy with so many discoveries! Fortunately, we still have a whole day to spend on the boat tomorrow!
