Success in school and life is the main theme of the Think Equal programme of the NGO Zazakely Sambatra, which promotes social-emotional learning for students. The programme aims to develop students’ knowledge, attitudes and skills for learning and is suitable for children aged 3 to 9 years old.

Some 453 children have benefited from the new program during its pilot phase. The youngsters have explored fascinating stories that have taught them cooperation, empathy, kindness, knowledge and self-esteem, among many other skills.

The association has called on public, private or association educational institutions that wish to benefit from the project to express interest in May. Think Equal includes training educational staff, providing equipment and supervising the implementation of the program throughout the year. The cooperation agreement between the beneficiary institutions and Zazakely Sambatra will last for 3 years.

Thinking about Equality and Social-Emotional Skills

“Empathy, respect for diversity, fighting discrimination” are the privileges that come with this new education, which the association hopes to democratize from a very young age, says Julian Baker, general manager of the Zazakli Sampatla Association.

The Think equal program contains a wealth of educational information designed to help adults foster social-emotional learning in young people. This culture of altruism, tolerance, kindness and compassion from preschool helps young people and teachers build healthy relationships, set goals and make more person-centered decisions.
