Qatar Museums has announced a series of exhibitions to be organised in August as part of an effort to enrich the country’s cultural landscape.
These include “In the Footsteps of Alaguler: A Photographer’s Footsteps,” which runs from August 9 to November 9 at the Museum of Islamic Art and highlights the photographer’s archaeological discoveries across Turkey.
3-2-1 Qatar Olympic Sports Museum will also host the “Esports I Turning Point” exhibition from August 9 to September 8, 2024, exploring the development of esports and predicting its future path.
Other exhibitions also continue to present their own special works, such as the “Olympic Idea: Values and Peaks” exhibition, which will last until August 25, tracing Qatar’s 40 years of participation in the Olympic Games since 1984, and the “100 Best Arab Posters” exhibition will continue its fourth edition – 100/100/ until August 5.
Likewise, the exhibitions “Ethereal Scenes” and “Neighbors of the Ocean” at the Fire Station Artists’ Residence will run until August 17, while the traveling exhibition “New Perspectives on Nomadic Life” at the National Museum will run until August 11. The exhibition “Khaled Al-Bayh: Watching” at the Arab Museum of Modern Art will run until August 24, while the mobile exhibition “Our Spectrum, Your Spectrum” will run until November 24.
Among the permanent exhibitions open to the public, the “Cherishing the Past, Celebrating the Future: A Vision for Education in Qatar” exhibition will continue at the Liwan Design Studio and Lab, and the “Qatar Auto Museum Project at a Glance” exhibition will run until January 2, 2026 at the Qatar National Museum.
Qatar Museums also announced its upcoming exhibitions, Masterpieces of the Atlas: A Journey Through Morocco’s Heritage, which runs from November 2, 2024 to March 8, 2025, and Landscapes: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from the 1940s to the 1940s. The exhibition “Today” from November 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025, the exhibition “Ellsworth Kelly: A Century of Creativity” from October 31, 2024 to February 2025, and the exhibition “Between Appearances and Appearances: Jerome, Art and Art (1824 – 1904)/ from October 31, 2024 to February 22, 2025, as well as an exhibition / Forensic Architecture/ from November 3, 2024 to February 22, 2025, another entitled / Discoveries: Morocco/ from November 2, 2024 to January 2025, and last but not least, the exhibition / Chaumet and Nature/ from October 30 to December 30, 2024.
