The Ministry of the Interior announced that between now and the 2025 elections it will only process requests to designate new streets.
This means that requests to rename existing streets will not be processed.
Interior Minister Bronto SG Somohardjo explained that the decision was taken to avoid administrative and financial delays during the pre-election and electoral phases.
During this period, only streets without names will be renamed. Please abide by this new arrangement.
The purpose of this temporary measure is to ensure efficiency and avoid unnecessary delays in the run-up to the 2025 elections.
