Amid the ongoing protests across the country, actress Tonto Dikeh has taken a different stance by commending President Tinubu for his efforts and progress in developing the country.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, she praised the president’s achievements, noting that statistics in areas such as foreign exchange reserves, minimum wage, foreign exchange backlogs, oil production and debt-to-income ratios had all improved.

However, the praise contrasts with protesters’ grievances, which focus on rising costs of fuel, food and basic utilities.

She wrote,

“The statistics don’t lie: Everyone is working hard to make this country what we want it to be.
One thing about Nigerians is that if they don’t like you, nothing you do will satisfy them. Let’s not deny this obvious fact. Stay safe and always make smart decisions. ”

Tonto Dikeh’s post suggested that despite the President’s efforts, some Nigerians still find fault, implying that criticisms may be unfair and biased.

Her message encouraged people to make smart decisions and stay safe amid differing opinions about the state of the country.
