A close friend of Abu Al-Hajjaj commented, especially on the farewell night, when he was with him: “He described his condition on the stage, crying, hoping to live, but it is a transient world, bound to die… His characteristic was that he had a cheerful face, planted a smile on everyone he met, made everyone who called him happy, whether he had money or not, sometimes he paid the band’s expenses with his own money. May God have mercy on him and grant us all patience.”
