GJ Santiago Marino Caribe International Airport, located in Margarita Island, Nueva Esparta, continues to receive national and international tourists who visit this paradisiacal destination in Venezuela to admire its natural beauty and the different attractions that exist on the island.

This was reported by the Minister of Tourism, Alí Padrón, who on Wednesday, July 31, welcomed international tourists from Russia and other South American destinations.

“We continue to receive Russian tourists as well as tourists from all over the world, including Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago and Cuba; flights from many places directly to Margarita Island and through Caracas by other means. Just this morning we received 455 Russian tourists who arrived in Porlamar directly from the city of Moscow,” said Padrón.

He noted that tourists are already staying in hotels on Margarita Island and Coche Island, respectively. “They are visiting this beautiful island nation, enjoying the tropical pleasures, our beautiful beaches and the peace, because Venezuela is a peaceful country.”

Likewise, the head of the tourism department, after visiting the New Esparta Airport, noted that it was operating normally with seven national airlines’ flights every day.

“We reviewed the operation of the airport with the airport director, Fernando Delgado, and it is running perfectly.
