President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the people of Idanre, the government and the people of Ondo State over the death of the King of Owa of Idanre Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Idanre land, Oba Frederick Aloloye.
The President paid tribute to the first-rate traditional ruler in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Wednesday.
Tinubu described the late monarch as a “champion of peace, prosperity and development during his 48 years on the throne of his ancestors”.
He said: “The President joins the good people of Idanre in praying for the soul of the late monarch, while saying that Owa will always be remembered for his upkeep of the dignity of the throne and his unwavering commitment to the progress of his people.”
The monarch died on Wednesday at the age of 102.
