Several companies organizing art concerts in Lebanon announced the postponement of some events, and concert organizer Hussein Kasira decided to cancel the concert of Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni originally scheduled for August 3.

It was also decided to cancel the concert of Syrian singer Asala Nasri, originally scheduled for August 10, and the joint concert of Assi El-Hellani, Haifa Wehbe and Saif Nabil, originally scheduled for August 8. This month.

Ticket holders received a message informing them that the concerts were cancelled and that they would be refunded their ticket prices due to “the current situation in Lebanon”.

The report said, “The number of people who have booked tickets for Tamer Hosni’s concert has reached more than 2,400.”

But Lebanese singer Haifaa Wehbe denied cancelling the concert, writing on her Instagram account: “If I heard from the media that no one informed the law firm that currently manages my business and no one informed me of the cancellation of the concert, it is not true.”

She added: “The situation in Lebanon will calm down and, God willing, everything will return to normal.”

Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan has denied cancelling his concert in Lebanon and confirmed that it will go ahead despite the tense security situation.

Mohammed Ramadan posted a video clip on Instagram in which he spoke about the cancellation of his concert in Lebanon, saying: “Dear Lebanese audience, due to this situation, I received an apology from Arab stars for their concerts in Beirut.”

He added: “The concert organisers contacted me and I told them that the concert will take place on the appointed date, there is no way it will be cancelled and I will be with you on August 17. If they shut down the airlines, I will come to you by sea.”

Lebanon and its southern region are facing a security alert amid rising tensions between Hezbollah and the Israeli army following an attack on the town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, to which Israel responded by targeting a prominent party leader in Beirut.

“The army carried out a precision strike in Beirut against the commander responsible for the killing of children and the killing of many Israelis in Majdal Shams,” the Israeli army said in a statement.

According to Israel’s Ynet news website, the Israeli army declared a state of alert, awaiting a response from Hezbollah.
