Yesterday, Tuesday, boxer Cedrick Belony-Duliepre (world number 202) faced Brazilian Wanderley de Souza Pereira in the men’s 80 km boxing competition (8th final) at the Arena Nord in Paris. Safety: “Relatively improved”
According to Commander Godfrey Otunge of the Kenya-led multinational force, “Joint operations with the Haitian National Police (PNH) have successfully captured the General Hospital, the seaport, the city of Gantille, pacified the road linking the international airport to the seaport, intensified the pacification of the airport, and conducted round-the-clock patrols in the city of Port-au-Prince. CSC/CA recruitment: 100 vacancies, 887 candidates
887 candidates passed the recruitment examination for the Supreme Court of Audit and Administrative Disputes (CSCCA) on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Only 100 candidates will be selected to join the public administration.
General Hospital reopening date unknown
Jean-Jules Desaugust, spokesman for Prime Minister Cornille, announced that the State is working to reopen the General Hospital. He claimed that bandits had vandalized, destroyed and looted the hospital. He assured that the doors of the institution will not be reopened in a week or a month, but he invited all sectors of the State to participate in restoring security in Haiti.
Haiti: Death Prison
In the second quarter, 78 prisoners died (compared to 29 in the first quarter), mostly due to lack of care, poor hygiene, inadequate food and lack of drinking water.
