Welcome to participate The Innovation Engine Room: Intellectual Property Law and Innovationhosted by the Faculty of Law. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 9:00am to 6:00pm Located in the Hilton Trinidad Port of Spain and Convention Centre.

The seminar will serve as a launchpad for a collaboration between the UWI St. Augustine Law School, the Department of Planning and Development and other relevant partners such as the UWI St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (STACIE), the Intellectual Property Office of Trinidad and Tobago (IPO) and the National Intellectual Property Training Centre (NIPTC). The collaboration will focus on raising awareness of IP laws and rights and developing resources to promote the development of IP laws and policies. Part of the collaboration will include various educational and outreach activities alongside academic research.

The registration fees are as follows:

– Academic – TT$600

– Student price – 400 Trinidad and Tobago dollars

– Business and Government – TT$1,200

– Regional and international government stakeholders and policy makers involved in IP and innovation related work;

– Researchers, scholars, law students from the University of the West Indies and other academic institutions;

– companies and other businesses operating in the fields of technology, innovation and BroadCast Unitedlectual property; and

– Civil society groups, non-governmental organizations and community activist groups.
