Radio Republic Indonesia (RRI) recently launched the RRI Online News App in July.
The launch was attended by RRI CEO I Hendarsmo, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Nezar Patria and all RRI staff.
I Hendarsmo stressed the importance of media transformation in his speech: “Today we are launching a new service feature and confirming our direction and passion to become a multi-platform media in the era of disruption.” This demonstrates RRI’s commitment to continuous development and innovation in response to increasingly rapid technological changes.
The RRI News app is designed specifically to showcase the digital transformation and innovation that RRI is undertaking. With this app, RRI hopes to remain relevant in the public eye. “We are doing everything we can to be more confident in the age of disruption and to increasingly be able to maintain our relevance in the public eye,” says Hendarsmo.
Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Nezar Patria also fully supported the launch of the app, saying the move is in line with the government’s efforts to encourage digital transformation in various sectors, including the media.
The launch of RRI News is an important milestone in RRI’s efforts to become an adaptive and innovative media. It is hoped that with the help of this application, the public will be able to more easily access RRI’s latest and most reliable information, thereby further improving the quality of public information services provided.
