A German tourist died from a snake bite in the village of Chaisubani in Kobrej. Jumber Kurshubadze, a representative of the mayor of Chaisubani, told Batumelebi that the man was in the forest with his family.
“The snake is called Mt. Aspit and it had always been in our mountain. When representatives of the environmental protection department saw the photo, they said it was a snake. In fact it was in the forest and the ambulance could not catch up. “And then it died,” Jumber Kurshubadze told the publication.
According to him, the tourist was seen holding a snake in his hands and was wearing gloves, but he might not have felt the bite of the reptile.
“Nothing like this has ever happened here. Migratory birds have been observed here, but there has never been a case of a snake being caught,” said Jumber Kurshubadze.
