Acast’s losses narrow in second quarter of 2024

On Friday, Acast released its figures for the second quarter of 2024, showing that the podcast company had net sales of 477.9 million Swedish kronor, equivalent to a 24% increase in sales. The North American and European markets performed best, with net sales increasing by 26% and 25%, respectively. Organic growth reached 22%, the report showed, compared to 15% in the same period last year.

Acast’s adjusted EBITDA result was negative SEK 11.3 million. This compares to negative SEK 41.7 million in the same period last year. The Ebitda margin for the second quarter of 2024 was -2%.
