IAM CORE reaches tentative deal with tech giants apple Improvements in work-life balance, pay rises and job security were discussed Friday.
Apple retail store employees in Towson, Maryland, will vote on the tentative agreement on August 6.
The three-year tentative agreement includes a 10% average wage increase, contract worker restrictions and severance provisions, improved work-life balance and transparency rules. It will preserve all existing benefits and provide an agreement on any future increases.
Employees at Apple’s Towson store voted in favor of a strike in May.
In June 2022, Apple employees in Maryland voted to join the International Union of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, becoming the tech giant’s first retail employees to unionize in the United States.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
