George Ssemwanga, the brother-in-law of Ugandan and South African businesswoman and socialite Zari Hassan, was arrested in a dispute over the estate of the late Ivan Ssemwanga.
The conflict has intensified over the past week, with Zari and her in-laws clashing over the succession and management of Ivan Simwanga’s business empire.
Hassan, known as the “Boss Lady,” was involved in a bitter dispute with her in-laws over the division of her late husband’s property among their sons.
The family dispute involved multiple allegations and legal proceedings. Hasan responded to the allegations by seeking legal redress, which led to the arrest of some of her in-laws.
Zari blames her in-laws for making things difficult for her and her sons in the seven years since her husband’s death.
Although she has always been supportive of her in-laws’ family, she claims they have been trying to sabotage her and her children.
