The Skagafjörður website states that Valdís Ósk Óladóttir has been hired as a child protection advisor at the family department of the municipality of Skagafjörður. Valdís holds a B.Sc. in Business Law from Bifröst University and a LLM from Reykjavík University. Valdís Ósk has in-depth knowledge of child protection law and wrote his Master’s thesis on Child Rights and Coercive Measures based on Child Protection Law. While studying, Valdís Ósk worked at the Child and Family Centre and the Krýsuvík Therapeutic Home, gaining experience in counselling and handling child protection cases.
Valdís Ósk will start work on August 1st. We warmly welcome her to the job and wish her the best of luck.
